We watched these two to the left play in our mimosa tree in the early spring, they  came to eat all summer. This is the male and the female.
I'm almost positive they are husband and wife. Lol

They are a yellow bird with a black patch on the forehead. They have a black tail with a white rump. They have black wings with white wing bars. They have no markings on the chest. They have an awesome change
of color during the winter months, the male almost looks like the female.
His colors are not as shiney.

The female is a dull olive yellow bird without a black crown, she has brown black wings and white rump.

The juvenile looks just like the female.

The nest is a cup build. The female builds it by herself.

The incubation period is 10 to 12 days, the female  goes it all alone.
She has 4 to 6 pale blue, unmarked eggs.
It takes 11 to 17 days for the children to develop, the mom and dad both
feed the children.

They mirgate partially around North America in flocks of up to 20.

They eat seeds, insects, and love to come to our bird feeder, and they never find it without food.
