| ALL ON A SNOWY DAY |
All On A Snowy Day There is nothing like a snowy day To make all the birds in the forest come out and play Searching for food on every branch and limb Their chances for food sometimes are very slim But God has every bird counted and sees every sparrow fall And that’s not all He even hears them when they call God has a watchful eye He takes the little birds that die To decorate Heaven and its big blue sky even the big birds like hawks and eagles And anything with wings He takes them all to heaven just to hear them sing If the Lamb will lay down by the Lion Is it ok if I say: "Someday in Zion The blue bird will hitch a ride On Eagles wings These wonderful creatures of the air Will decorate Heaven and all the trees" But for now, I'm so glad God is the keeper of the birds The keeper of the snow we need the snow to water the earth and let all Gods plans bring forth new birth Our Father knows what is best He calls to the snow to be at rest He calls for sunshine to melt the snow He calls for the water to run to the mountains And water each tree and every fountain. Next time we have a snowy day Go to the forest Watch all the birds in the forest come out and play While you are watching Think on this God is in his heavens He controls all things You are his creation Among created things Watch it, watch very carefully Watch nature take place The sky above you The good earth below you The trees, the lakes, the rivers and shores Look around you, look above you Look in the mirror You are the only part of creation That God adores Talk to the maker of heaven and earth Have a great experience Ask God for a new birth Written by: Mary Alice Bowles 2/6/06 |

| Isaiah 55:10-11 RSV "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return not thither but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it." |
