| My Baby Robins Quietly, very quietly, they flew away Into the sunshine of a gorgeous spring day The flight of a baby robin in a world of Beauty rare What troubles could they have? I ask you? All my thoughts I do not dare! I said a prayer for them When I saw the empty nest I must ask my Father God to let my tiny babys rest “Oh Father, I ask you to watch over My baby robins, let me put them in your care”! Then I shed some face filled tears! The tears streamed from my eyes like The waters from the Nile Then I thought of all the things that God Takes care of, and now I must rest my mind for awhile! Then Quietly, very quietly, I cried again I wish I could have cuddled them And fed them day by day But that is not God’s plan of nature So I must go on my way poetry by: ©MARY ALICE BOWLES 5/1/03 |
