   EASTERN BLUE BIRD
           Sialia Sialis
 
    The Male blue bird is  about the size of the American Robin, it has a rusty red
breast and a white belly, It has a sky blue head, back and tail.

   The female has a rusty red breat and white belly,
but is grayer with faint blue tail and wings
They nest in a cavity,
female builds the nest and has two broods per year.

She hatches 4 to 5 eggs
they are pale blue and unmarked.

Incubation period is 12 to 14 days and
the female incubates all alone

fledgings happen in about 15 to 18 days
and only the female feed the young!

They feed on insects and fruit
