| GROW OLD WITH ME Grow old with me, my darling let's not mourn, let's celebrate for we must face the sun set of life with a smile and a tear For we must live then die In order to become immortal! Can you see the ending of a perfect life in Jesus For in his word, he said, he was going away to prepare for us a place, that where he is, we could be there also! So in our minds eye, let's envision a place made by pure love where children laugh and play Streets are made of gold! We will not age another minute for here in this beautiful city we will never grow old! we will just while away the hours Of a million years in Glory There with our precious LAMB singing and shouting and praising the KING We'll celebrate and dine with the GREAT I AM! Can you imagine a city on a hill completely lighted up by God himself where no murders, no thieves, no liars no cheats, no drunks, no pot smokers, Absolutely no sin at all can enter in! Only the blood washed saints of Jesus Christ of Nazarene Can you see us flying through Heavens skies lighting on trees with fruit hanging in glorious array from every branch! let's have lunch After that, let's listen to the Angels sing their song I can almost hear the sound! Thousands upon thousands of angels singing! Listen closely, someone familiar is singing with them!!!! Honey, "how long do you think we can explore maybe a thousand years or more"! I must see everything, but remember to hold my hand because it just won't be the same, if I can't feel your hand in mine! Honey, it will be worth it All! You will See! PLEASE BE THERE WITH ME! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR WIFE: MARY ALICE BOWLES original poetry by Mary Alice Bowles JULY FOURTH, 2004 |
