GODLY WORHIIP By Mary Alice Bowles The fifth day of May in 2004 GODLY WORSHIP I raise my hands in worship I sing a song of praise Lost in his spirit Upon the throne I gaze I’m covered, completely covered I’ve entered that Heavenly Place The veil was rent and torn When Jesus died to take my place Now I can enter His Throne Room And worship when I will No Priest has to enter to plead my case Now I can kneel and taste The Fruits of the Spirit are centered in Praise Locked away in my closet, just me and my best friend The well springs up and overflows Then Jesus makes sure that God knows I pray and he listens, then He talks and God listens And God answers His Children with a Yes and Amen! Worship brings water gently flowing from above It graciously flows through Jesus, powered by his blood “Oh God, then please submerge me Submerge me in your well Let the well of living water cover this mortal body Electrifying and refreshing So wonderful, this rhyme cannot tell”! Worship is a meeting between the spirit and soul Where mortal man can touch God And receive a heavenly flow Jesus is there waiting, and watches day to day He longs to hear you worship He will come and stay Worship brings joy Worship brings love Worship brings the stilled voice Of God, gentle, calm, peaceful and very much alive Worship makes me humble This is how I survive No comparison in the earthly realm is good enough to show Where worship leads me, but this I know Worship brings the waters of life flowing freely from The Throne “Oh God, let my voice never be silent Let me praise and worship you until my breath will Breathe no more Let me praise and worship you until the dirt is throne in my face I must be for sure, that no rocks will take my place”! When the trumpet sounds, and the graves are opened wide What a celebration, Heavens Gates will open And all Gods children will fly inside The Saints from every nation will bow before the King Every tongue will confess that you are LORD Then every Saint will worship and eternity will begin! Then forever and forever we will worship and adore The King of Kings and Lord of Lords Over on that other shore Worship is the key to everlasting life Take a daily walk with Jesus Get really close to the Lord Eternal life and a Home in Heaven Is our Reward! “OH GOD, I ask you to PLEASE let me be in that number”! |
