Their length is 5.25 inches Thay have a conical bill and a long tail They have a distinctive call note often given in flight The male has Red forehead, supercilium, breast and rump Streaked belly and undertail coverts Brown wings and tail Immature male resembles female Female: She has a plain face which makes her look very mysterious She has heavy streaked underparts When you lay your eyes on this female house finch, it makes you wander how come her mate is so handsome! It aggravates me to the point of thinking she's adorable!!! |
