| HOW WELL DO WE KNOW CHRISTMAS |
How well do we know Christmas Can we feel Jesus in our heart? Is presents the only reason We have joy all that season It’s looking like winter again As I decorate the tree The owner of this season Has come to live in me I sing a little song As the shiny things go on “Oh Dear Sweet Baby Jesus It’s your birthday again Happy birthday Jesus Oh how you make my heart sing” Jesus, let me continue to praise you After this season passes by Let me stay in love with you forever and always Never let me forget about The love you gave on Christmas day But most of all My Savior Let me not forget The blood you shed on Calvarys tree you shed for everyone Even a sinner such as me I will forever praise your name This joy I feel is not a game Let me teach the children That your death was all their gain We must teach the children That the baby in that manger Walked up Calvary hill His blood is forever cleansing And it always will. ©Mary Alice Bowles 12/7/05 |
