| HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY! |
| Fosters Tern are seen more often in the west and south. They nests in marshes, often seen around any body of water during miagration. That's where my husband, George, took these images at Hardy Lake in Southern Indiana.. They nest in marshes. They have a long forked tail, black cap in breeding season. Summer adults have pale silvery upperside of wingtips. The base of the bill is orange. The young and winter adults are mostly white-headed with bold black ear patches, not connecting across nape as on other terns. If you want to talk about birds, night or day: Please e-mail me at : Kentucky bluegirl @aol.com I would love to hear from you! Thank You! |
