| ALONG THE NARROW PATH by Mary Alice Bowles |
| The Right Path Two paths lie before me To choose at my own free will One is full of worldly pleasures The other one is full of Heavenly Treasures I chose to travel the narrow way Where we all walk single file Headed toward a country so rare the beauty That no human tongue can tell Angels silently linger And watch over me day by day This path I’m on is for the young, the old the rich, the poor and whosoever will Can climb on board No ticket is needed to walk the path The price is paid in full By the blood that flowed down Calvary hill It’s forever cleansing and running still! I see a fisherman’s sandal print Go before me all the way Each step I take I know he’s been there So I’ll take up my cross and follow him His love I will gladly share I’ll walk the path of righteousness Where Godly people walk Singing and shouting and praising the Lord Safe in the arms of the Savior A home in Heaven is our reward! Hand in hand with Jesus Until the gates of heaven swing wide When they call my name in Glory I’ll be so glad to be inside I live to tell the story of Jesus and his love Traveling the path less traveled Is the story of my life I left the sinful path behind me Now I can clearly see The path I have chosen is the greatest one for me! original poetry of Mary Alice Bowles copyrighted by my personal copyright |
