NINA Written by Mary Alice Bowles A tribute to a friend Nina, the little mountain goat Climbing high up in the sky To see the hills so tall Exploring Gods good earth In search of all those water falls Over the valley and through the woods Up the hill and into the sky The hill-side is aglow With the yellow light From Heavens shining globe Another day in the North Carolina hills Has brought her closer to the Rock There solid, she will stand Where trouble and trials are left behind She feels Gods love so grand I know why she likes to climb mountains She’s in training for the final climb She drinks from a fountain, an eternal fountain And she can drink at any time. That eternal fountain is the King of Kings And The Lord of Lords He has an eternal flow He owns special property on a hill Where she will never grow old. A child of the King, a beautiful seed The blood of Jesus style And some sweet day, she will see That it is all worthwhile Each new day she climbs with the King Arm in arm, hand in hand Higher and higher into the sky Some sweet day, they’ll reach the top And live in Gods sweet Glory Land ©Mary Alice Bowles 2/22/06 |
